Improving your home

MacIntyre has a plan to make sure all its homes are in a good condition over a period of time.

The work we do as part of this plan includes:

• internal decoration - painting of walls, ceilings and woodwork within the parts of the house you share with other people.  You can choose the colours. You are responsible for decorating your own bedroom, unless you live in a care home.
• external decoration - painting the outside of where you live
• kitchen upgrade - change of cupboards, worktops and tiles
• bathroom upgrade - change of tiles and washing facilities
• heating upgrade - change of heating system, hot water tanks and boiler
• roofing upgrade - to make sure your roof is suitable for all weather conditions
• window replacement - to make sure your home saves energy.

If you have a different repair,  you should tell your supported housing officer who can help you tell the repairs team.
